Brake Controller Recommendations

Hello All,

Got the call from my dealer, and I will have my new truck (2018 Sport Pro) on Monday! Earlier this year, my wife and I bought a Camplite 14 foot Travel Trailer. It weighs about 4,500 pounds and has electronic drum brakes. He said that I should put a brake controller into whatever vehicle that I bought to tow the trailer.

I have done the internet search and they all seem to be 3 or 4 stars and have glowing recommendations.

So does any anyone have a recommendation for a brake controller?

Prodigy seems to be the popular unit. There are plug n play units for Tacomas. If you have the tow package, you have the controller plug in harness in the driver footwell area.
