Tacomas and Wranglers

Jeeps are great for certain areas because of the short wheel base. I own a Jeep too and have major respect for their history and durability.
But with that said, the Tacoma for me is the best because of the practicality. It's an off-roader when I need it and it's a daily driver with a useful truck bed.
I'm in the woods and off road fairly regularly and even though there are places the long wheel base can be a hinderance there is no where I've been (or plan on going) where I'll need a jacked up wrangler.

I've had 1 jeep , a 1968 Kaiser built CJ-5 with a mildly built Buick V6 w/Borg Warner T-13 & a strong posi rear end & I can honestly say I've never been in a vehicle that could scare the **** out of me like this one did, aside from the short wheel base, when pavement was even mildly moist the posi would try to push the rear to the front resulting in a couple of sudden 180's that shouldn't have happened , jeeps are great, for some types of terrain (s low going thru narrow , steep banks gulches & washes) But like the Corvair, almost unsafe at any speed...
