Securing Bed Mat?

Today at lunch, I discovered that someone within the past week decided that they needed my bed mat more than I did and snatched it up (#scumoftheearth!).

Anywho... anyone had any luck securing the mat to the bed to deter such acts? My first thought is to use the existing carriage bolts that are already there. Any thoughts?

Some have widened the drain holes at the front and ran bolts with wide washers through them. I’ve also seen people just drill holes for bolts so the drain holes are still functional.

You could always bolt it down like Nancy said.
Or get a tonneau cover.

For my part, I’ve bought the OME tonneau cover and it’s pretty solid and sturdy. The gal that will want to steel me something inside the box will have to use a shainsaw I believe!! [emoji23]

That sucks. It’s to bad when people feel the need to do that. Like you said they must have needed it more than you. SMH.

That’s what I was thinking. They aren’t super heavy but they are heavy and awkward enough to where it seems like people wouldn’t steal them.

Make your own Carriage bolt with an " E " clip under the bed, Use 4 , 2 up front and 2 by the gate , Do you have the steel box or plastic ?

I have the plastic... Once I get a new one, I think that I will use an "e" clip or pin under the bed for ease of removal if needed.
