Which tonneau cover did you buy?

I just installed the Rugged Cover II. Needed more lockable storage for a trip to Temecula, CA. Worked out great. Rained all day Saturday and the truck bed was bone dry, without any drains required like a few other tonneau covers I’d looked at. Basically locks just by closing and locking the tailgate. $769 at Simpson Tool Box in Mesa, AZ. About $130 cheaper than what the Toyota dealer was asking for the same one.

I have the oem one on my dcsb I want to sell it and probably use the money to get a camper or chase rack, have not yet decided. A camper would be nice to keep my pit in

I do not know where you live but if you do not need a hard cover take a look at the Lund Elite Tri Fold cover made with similar material to a convertible top. Much better than vinyl!.

I have the oem and my gear so far has stayed dry. It’s rained here in Arkansas off and on for two weeks and my stuff is dry. I haven’t ran it through a car wash or high pressure sprayed it. So far I’m pleased

If someone does buy it tell them to look at the forum for reviews. We may get a new member out of the deal
I decided the time wasn't right. And or I just don't want to sell it until I have something to replace it. So that's gonna stay on for a while. I've pressure washed it and run it through a machine everything stays dry I love that about it. I really don't haul much back there aside from gym gear. But it's still nice to open up occasionally and see it clean

Lol good thought. I have my fire gear back there. So thank you for replying about the car wash. I have a friend with a GMC Canyon and his leaks. It could be that he never opens the cover when he lets the tailgate down or up. I’m not sure

Hi,

I have a '17 Tacoma and wanted to know which tonneau cover did you buy? I didn't want to pay an arm and leg for the OEM and wanted to know if there were alternatives available for the long bed 73" Tacoma's. Please provide links or any details as for brand name or manufacturer. Thank you!View attachment 11999

so, I ended up with an extang encore. Like being able to open the front panel, and retention of the bed rail system. Leaks a little, but I can live with that for the trade offs.

I really wanted the Diamondback but I opted for the Bakflip Mx4. I Love the look of it. It does leak more than I'd like but i wasn't expecting total dryness. Having a bed mat certainly helps as the water runs underneath it.20180318_165635.jpgIMG_3105.jpg
