Hello guys, I’m new here and I had a question for all of you. I have 33x12.50R17 Toyo Open Country M/Ts. The load range is E. What air pressure should I run for the dunes?? BTW truck is 2wd.
Thank you,
Riley McCoy

How wide are the 17’s?

The rims are 8.5 wide. Some people were saying 10psi with good momentum and not hard on the throttle. Maybe traction control off??

You could probably get away with 10-15psi with 8.5” rims and 12.5” tires. I’d bring some recovery boards, a shovel and a tow strap. You’re not going alone right? 365C28FB-A4D2-4468-A674-1C5A3BF2F96A.jpeg

No. I’m going out with a bunch of my buddies. I’ll have my dirt bike with me but if I wanted to take my truck out I wanted to know what tire pressure. I’ve driven it in the sand before with the stick tires on it and only got stuck once. But now that I have Mud Terrains I thought it would be better

It’ll be fine. You’ll just have to get pulled out if you get stuck.

My rwd got stuck about 100 yards into the oceano dunes at night last week hahahha. I was running 40 psi on 285/70s with traction control on.. I was asking for it. Luckily I had my hitch on, nice guy in Silverado pulled me out backwards.
The creek there you have to cross is terrifying hahahaha
