Does anyone have experience using a tail gate pad to haul your mountain bike? I am considering one, but have reservations about damaging the tail gate. I am not looking at this one specifically, just providing the photo for clarification.

Down sizing from Tundra to Tacoma. I had a ‘00, then an ‘08 Tundra, loved both. Towed travel trailers about 70,000 miles combined. Last summer we downsized the TT to an ultralight 16', just for short trips, so now doing the same with the truck. Looking forward to delivery some time in January.
