So something a little smaller...Heats 40 square feet area.3.3 Amps, 400W. Less surface area so this would work best if I could position it in the middle of the bed.

Not long now until my truck is in. I'll be adding a cap and was wondering about heating a capped bed. Use: I'll be taking the truck up snowboarding with a full cab of people. That means gear will have to ride in the bed. Even capped that could mean some pretty cold boots and such by the time...

When I ordered my truck the other day I asked about the lifting issue. According to the sales guy (take that for what it's worth) they have fixed the issue. You would need to bring the truck back to the dealer to have it re-calibrated for the new height, is all.

My last Taco. loaded up right before heading to Colorado from Louisiana. Great truck, I really miss that thing. Only down side was it was 2WD. In Louisiana all the truck I needed (pulled boats) but here in Colorado a truck really needs 4WD.

I imagine diesels don't sell that well in Canada. Diesels are temperamental in cold weather. Yea you can plug in your block heater at home but when you go out to dinner it's nice to have a truck that will start when you are ready to go home. I'm sure modern diesels are much better at cold starts...

If you want an epic route through Colorado check out the COBDR. It's a route for motorcycles so some sections that utilize ATV trails would need to be skipped but the majority is forest service roads and jeep trails. You can make a loop of it by heading west at the end to the top of the UTBDR...
