What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Picked up a keychain to attach my Tacoma's key to. Got it when I visited Toyota's global automotive museum in Nagoya, Japan today. The emblem was originally used on their first passenger car, the Toyoda AA. I learned that the emblem's wings indicate speed, and the Kanji writing says 'Toyoda'...

What have you done to your Tacoma today?

I've got an area in my backyard that the previous owners had a playground. They took the playground with them, and I'm finally getting around to filling it in with grass. It's about 20x15. But I needed to add top soil one, to bring up the level of the new grass to that of the existing lawn, and...

What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Crappy part is that I thought I was done, and put down grass seed already. Hopefully adding another 2ish inches of dirt won't mess it up.

What have you done to your Tacoma today?

So I just did some thinking. 2 yards of dirt should be a lot more than 1300 pounds. Sure enough, looking closer at my receipt, he only loaded 1 yard (so 1 yard was 1300 pounds). The bad news? I apparently have more dirt to haul/spread. Fak.

What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Nah, it was fairly loose and fluffy. They weighed the loader empty, then with the bucket full, and it had a delta of ~1300 pounds or so.

What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Closer to two yards. It wasn't quite touching the bump stops, but was very close. That top soil was somewhat moist. Next time I do that I'll either make multiple trips, or figure out some HD springs/airbags. Two yards of dirt looked smaller in the loader bucket than it did in the truck bed lol

TRD Pro Shift Knob (Manual). Has anyone upgraded from stock? Thoughts?

Kinda looks neat, but am curious if the $100 it costs is really worth it? Toyota PTR57-35171 Trd Pro Manual Shift Knob https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4P6ZML/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_E5WHBbPHMJ2K0

2016 sport manual 6 speed whine while feathering gas pedal at 55-62 mph.

Mine has a bit of a whine at around the same speeds, but I feel like mine is coming from the rear end (2018 OR manual). I just saw a post here about leaking rear diffs, need to check that as I don't believe the whining noise always existed.

    Well shoot

The new Nissan Titan XD have Cummins diesels in them now. Believe it's a 5.0L V8 Turbo diesel. Saw one the other day pulling a big 5th wheel trailer with a boat attached at the end of the 5th wheel. Had to double take and look again as it struck me as odd to see something other than Ford/GM/RAM...

Anyone else having problems with the wireless charging pad?

Yeah, that's probably your issue. Remember, those wireless charging pads work by effectively forming a low power air gap transformer between the coil in the pad, and the coil in the back of your phone. The range is limited, and the closer together you can get those two coils, the more power...

Anyone else having problems with the wireless charging pad?

For my S8+, I have to bring it forward and slide it to the left to get it to charge, and is finicky sometimes, but I've got a case on my phone, so that's likely why. I haven't got a ton of room to move mine in there either.

Quick general concensus on 2.7L motor

Yeah, he said if it can haul itself plus maybe some furniture in the back from time to time, it'd be fine. He'll be living in a fairly small town (Rock Springs, WY), so he probably won't put a ton of miles on it anyways. Besides, his plan is to get a 'fun' car in the next year or two.

Quick general concensus on 2.7L motor

Hey, my brother is transitioning into a new local truck driving job from being a long haul driver. As such, he is needing to pick up a vehicle now that he'll actually need one. Scouring Craigslist, we came across a 98 Tacoma 4x4 extended cab (and at least a 6 foot bed it looks like). Manual...

    Chevy Colorado for a Rental

Oh crap! Totally forgot about this post lol. So I'm 50/50 on it. There were things I liked much better about the Chevy, specifically regarding the powertrane, and the driving position is better in my opinion for my tall ass. Looks and design are so subjective that I won't comment one way or...

    Chevy Colorado for a Rental

On a buisness trip for the next week and decided to grab this Colorado to try out and compare to my taco (18 TRD OR manual). Not sure what package it is exactly, but does have the V6, is 4x4, but doesn't seem to have any off road bits. So maybe roughly a Taco SR5 trim level comparison? I dunno...

Things I DON’T like about my Tacoma

Yeah, disclosure: I've never done it (my TRD OR has auto windows), just basing it off knowing how those switches work, it *should* be possible.
