    Agreed. If you have replaced the front brakes you are only 4 bolts and a 35mm nut away from replacing the assembly.

    $450! That's a lot for just replacing the bearing. I have 100% new assemblies for $175 shipped. Basic hand tools and a torque wrench is all you need to do the job.

    Agreed. I had one fail without warning on my 2005 Tacoma. I was lucky enough to only be 10 miles from home. It was dangerously close to damaging the rotor and caliper.

    The abs sensor is attached at the spindle. Easily accessed. The hub assembly can be a pain to remove, soak it with PB blaster and try to loosen it with hammer strikes.

    2004 is a completely different design. It is not a bolt on. The bearing is pressed into the spindle.

    Yes basic tools plus a 35mm socket for the axle nut & a torque wrench capable of 173 ft/lb's to torque that nut on installation.

    how big a tire can I go with

    I have the OME 885's with 1/4" spacers and Dakar leafs on a DCSB. With 285's on SCS wheels I had to remove the front mud flaps, trim a fair amount from the fender flare and do the cab mount chop. get yourself a pair of upper control arms as well. I went with Desert Products from Down South...

    I have 285/70's on 17" SCS Stealth 6's which have 4.30" back spacing. No matter what rim you use your going to have to trim the inner fender wheel and chop the cab mount to eliminate rubbing.

    not sure what your asking here need to know what size tire your trying to fit with a 3" lift some guys have 35's with 2" of lift but a lot of modification to the cab mount and fender flares
