06 2.7 five lug gears

Its 4:10 stock, unless you are running 35's on 6" you don't need Dana 5.29 gears. 4:88 with 33" and 4:10 stock is fine.

I figured with higher gears it would have a better acceleration from stop and more up hill power. It's a great truck just want some improvements in performance.

31.2x10.8" tires with lower 5.29 gears your RPMs at 65mph is going to be around 3200. 75 mph you'll be pushing 4100rpms.
Stock 4.10 with your tires RPM at 65 is 2450. 75mph about 3000 RPMs
It's going to give you a quicker start.
They make 5.71 gears ;)
The low gears, small tires you’ll get tons of low speed torque and fast acceleration... burnouts galore.
Freeway driving will suck your truck will be high revs. :eek:4500 RPMs at 75mph
In top gear.

If you just want to spend money you could get the 4.56 that would give you an increase on the low speed torque without compromising revs at freeway speeds. 5.29 is a low gear for these trucks.
