I know that it can be done. Look over other forums more than I wanted. Been wanting to do it on all of the tacomas that i have had. I am on my third. What I need is pictures. If anybody has done it and has pics I would love to see them. I just want to be 100 % because my 2013 is two months old. Dont want to screw it up. I think that it would be great for towing. Any help would be great. Thanks

I know it's possible on the older trucks(05 to 08) but I don't know if it has been done to anything newer.

So i am guessing you would almost have to trick the transfer case to make it is in 4wd but really in 2wd correct?

Also you have to bypass the ADD. It is a big pain. TTORA has a write-up on it.

how is it different than the older trucks? you just have to clip the wire that tells the transfer case it is in 4x4 at the 4x4 computer on the older rigs. i know the newer rigs you gotta run 2-3 buttons to bypass all the electrical **** on the new ones

It gives low range without 4wd. Good for towing but that's about it. Works even better with the crappy 6 speed when you are trying to back up with a load.
