At seventy mph what is the rpm . . . whats the Tacoma like on the highway as well as a daily driver
I use my '17 TRDOR as a daily driver......wouldn't have it any other way! Comfortable.....has enuf power for my needs.....on accelerating from a stop the Taco likes the RPM band......likes the RPMs when passing another vehicle too. Put your foot into it......don't baby it!
Now, you're talkin'!Drive it like you stole it!!!!!!
The lumbar support crank works well for me......had the same issue but that solved it........cranked 'er up!I will say that the leaf spring rear suspension can be a little bouncy over highway expansion joints. I took my 2010 (not much has changed) on multiple 6-7 hour drives. It's neither comfortable nor uncomfortable. However my lower back does bother a bit when I get out.

Maybe you need more lumbar support than the seat will give.......did you try and roll up a towel or shirt and place it behind you?? Might help.I did and it didn't help.
I turn my heaterd seat on for those drives. AC blasting and heat on my back.I will say that the leaf spring rear suspension can be a little bouncy over highway expansion joints.
