This info may save you some confusion. Manual says to increase/decrease instrument panel brightness by turning the trip reset knob clockwise or counterclockwise. Icon beside it indicates the same. Actually the knob will not turn but attempting to turn it as instructed (i.e., applying pressure one way or the other) will cause the illumination to increase or decrease. Try this at night with the lights on. Don't break the knob by trying to turn it per the instructions!!
