I just got a lathe and made my first rollin' pin .very fun but took about 4 hrs.

For me......its my dog, my Honda and wood working.

Otherwise, trying to keep the LOML happy.................not so much a hobby....more like a career with less reward.

Nice rolling pin. Was that 4 hours for turning? or include gluing and finish......

thanx ,ripping the wood glueingit up and turning sanding and olive oiling. i got a bunch more stock from work today to make some more foe famly members . i like it.

A suggestion. Instead of Olive Oil, it can go rancid. Use food grade mineral oil. I use it for our cutting boards and butcher block tops.

In a pinch, you can use Baby Oil......its just mineral oil with a pleasing scent. Straight food grade mineral oil has no scent.
