Backup lights not working

I have a 4 speed manual sr5. Recently when I put it in reverse the backup lights and camera wont come on. At first it took me taking it out and putting it back in reverse. Now they won’t work at all. The bulbs are good and the truck moves in reverse it’s just the lights and camera won’t come on. Has anyone had this before?

Fuse? Or if I'm thinking correctly, there may be a reverse switch that activates both when the shifter is moved into reverse. That could be bad, or just out of position.

Update: they said it was the neutral /reverse switch. They said it was dry and lubed it up. They said if it stops working then it needs to be replaced
