I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 and when I bought it I just took the basic warranty. I have now past 13k miles and want to buy a factory extended warranty. Which dealership offers the best deal?

You’ll have to shop around. Some states offer up to a 10 year 125k mike warranty. All dealers can make their own prices. All prices are negotiated with the finance person at the dealer. They will try to act like they can’t budge on the price.
Best thing to do is go in with the terms you want and the price you want to pay and if they can’t do it walk away and go to the next dealer. Make the dealers fight for your business.
What warranty term are you wanting?
8 year 125k mile platinum $0 deductible?

I do want the 8/125k

I do want the 8/125k
This is the max I would pay on any of them.
Toyota VSA, Platinum coverage with $0 deductible:
6 yr / 75K - $610.00
6 yr / 100K - $835.00
7 yr / 75K - $680.00
7 yr / 100K - $950.00
8 yr / 75K - $785.00
8 yr / 100K - $1050.00
8 yr / 125K - $1365.00

So if you want the 8yr 125 I would go in saying you want to pay $1080 or around that and let the nagotiations begin. They will start out at $2200 or something ridiculous.

I have the Toyota VSA Platinum 8 year/100k warranty. Seems like a pretty solid warranty but I also haven’t had to use it yet.
I’ve put about 6k on my 2017 DCLB since June. I usually put around 30k a year so this is the least I’ve put on one for years.

Bumper to Bumper (not just drive train) Platinum 0 Deductible 10 Year, 100,000 Miles which really equates to 7 years, 64,000 miles beyond new Tacoma bumper to bumper and 5 years, 40,000 miles beyond drive train. My dealer also gave a non transferable 20 year/200,000 mile drive train train warranty for free with all new vehicles. But this is a new 2018 Tacoma with the new V-6 3.5 liter added which is a little different from other engines in the Tacomas of past.

Peace of mind if you want it......with all the new technology, I thought it wise even though I have owned 7 other Toyotas all with over 120,000 and two with 230,000 miles with no drive train problems. BUT I did have to replace Waterpump on 2007 Tundra at 85000 and Rear Transmission Seal at 123,000 and Brake Caliper at 123, 000. AC out on1987 MR2 at 191,000 and 2004 Corolla Wagon at 140,000. Back then Electronics were not as important/involved as today.

I hang onto my vehicles and have driven almost 900,000 on toyotas and have only been stranded once when a belt tensioner went out on my 2007 Tundra at 113,000. Not bad but other things cost a lot for repair when electronics are involved.

So roll the dice....If you hang onto your vehicles get an extended warranty. If not and you purchase a new vehicle every few years and do not put high mileage on the vehicle.... I would skip the extended warranty for sure as the Toyota Warranty covers quite a while

Spend it now or spend it later if you are a long term owner of a vehicle. Important thing is to maintain per Manufacturer's Schedule and keep it original specs. One you add your own lift kits, oversized tires, switch out brakes, breathers etc. you impact drivability and may void those parts of the vehicle under warranty. Also have PROOF of all performed maintenance.
