Buying For The First Time, Advice Appreciated

So glad I found this forum,

I have wanted a Tacoma for years, and finally have the chance to make the purchase.

My Budget: 20k
Transmission: Would prefer manual but automatic is fine
Drive: 4WD

I will be using it off-road in the Uintas occasionally, hauling wood-working projects, and going to and fro from school (20 Miles each way).

From there I am not sure where to go.

In your opinions, what year and model will I get the most bang for my buck?

I have 05 cost 16k with 90'000 miles 4x4 sr5 and i couldnt be happoer with it , even stock its very capable

If u get an 05-09. Get the frame inspected. ITS A MUST!.. Especially if u live in an area that gets snow. I have an 05 and had the frame replaced and witnessed a long line of tacos waiting for there's. Crazy

I talked to the finance guy and he said it takes 2 months to do a frame swap. Crazy.
