This has been discussed before, but living in NC, I thought it wouldn't include me.

Well, it does. Toyota extended it's coverage for 2017 Tacoma frame corrosion perforation for 12 years.

Did they fix this problem with the 2018, 19 & 20 trucks?

I thought the problem was fixed in 2017. But I guess not completely.

Where do you live? Up north?

I live in NC and when I bought my 19 I'm almost positive that I got one of those notices about the frame corrosion warranty being extended.

I wonder what is the reason they have problems with this.

Apparently they have a rice counter somewhere thats figured out it is cheaper to replace frames as needed instead of undercoating or some kind of coating on every frame as its produced. I'd almost be willing to bet the issue with the fuel pumps will turn into a replace as needed for x amount of years instead of every one of them that is supposedly affected.

Back in the day. And I'm talkin' 1950s. My father always got undercoating when he bought a car.

Good to know they don't... Excuse me, still make 'em like they used to.
