I do agree with this though. Some obvious issues should have been looked at when test driving.

I know of no one that has ever bought a new vehicle without test driving it.

Plenty of military people have. They order overseas and come home to their new vehicle only to not get what they expected. But really they mean "you should have noticed" and really you should have.

From my experience as a nobody, people don't do research when purchasing. I've seen Tacoma owners complain about towing capacities after they purchase. Some people complain about the seats (something that should be obvious dduring the test drive) after they purchase.

Yep, I did that once. From then on ive never ordered another vehicle, its on the lot where I can look at it, touch it, drive it.

I've done it twice. First time when Daimler owned Chrysler and we got screaming deals on them. There were no Caliber AWD to be tried but they got good reviews. About 45 minutes into the drive home I realized I made a bad decision. 3 years later i got hit in the left front corner by a kid driving his mom's Dodge 4wd. Just worked all night stocking shelves at Walmart. Totaled.

Second time was 2 years ago when I ordered my Tacoma. Although I did manage a drive 2 weeks after the order went in.

So I'm batting 50%. Even Babe Ruth didn't do that.

I've mostly had factory orders, so driven maybe 1/3 new vehicles before I bought them.
