Hi all, long time toyota guy. I purchased my 07 Tacoma in Jan 2019 from a private owner in the Midwest, had it shipped to Southern California. I knew the truck had rust etc. Yesterday i noticed a hole in my frame, so i called toyota recall and they said it was treated and it had a warranty till July 2019. They said I should have been notified in the mail, I was never notified and they opened a case and said someone will be calling me back later today.
What are my chances that this will still be covered under warranty.
Also, if they tell me to take the truck to the dealer to get inspected, does anyone recommend a dealer to take or not take to. I live in the South Bay, Los Angeles area.
