Front diff leaking oil

My front diff is leaking oil right where the left cv axle goes into the diff. Any thoughts on what it could be? I'm sure there is a gasket or something that is just messed up and I will have to pull the axle out and replace

There is a seal in there, the axle will need to be pulled out to replace it. Not an uncommon problem in 4 wheel and front wheel drive vehicle.

If I were to call a parts store, I would ask for the left side C/V shaft inner seal or C/V shaft seal at the front diff for the specific vehicle. Usually you need year, make, model and engine size.

Looks like I'm guna have to pull the diff out and replace both bearings and seals. I guess my Saturday will be fun!!

Okay do I have to pull the axles out then pull the diff? Or can I drop the diff with the axles in it then pull them out? Or can I undo the lower ca ball joint and lift the spindle up to slide the axle out?
