Front pads and rotors

Hey everyone I have a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. Front pads are getting pretty low. (I’m not very easy on them). Going on a 3000 mile road trip at the end of the month. Wanna do them prior just to be safe. Need ideas here. Go oem pads and rotors? Akebono pads and Napa rotors or just pad slap? Thanks

Do you have pedal pulse, braking shake???
If so they are warped discs.
It's only two years old, so may not need replacement or turning.
I personally don't turn discs down on a brake lathe. I reuse them as is, if not warped, or under service thickness limits when you check them with a micrometer.
If they need it, I simply buy new discs, they are not terribly expensive at Napa, where I would be going for pads anyway, and now discs as needed. How are your rear brake shoes and drums?

I bought slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads as a kit got them out of N.Y. on eBay had same ones on my 03 tundra made a huge difference in stopping especially from like40 mph to 0!
