This is a pretty detailed question but there’s no harm in asking here. Does anyone know if Gen 3 4Runner (2001) cattle guard will fit on a Gen 2 Tacoma (2015)

Negative. The 2nd gen Tacoma is much wider.

Nancy is right. The 4th gen should match up from 2003-2009. They scaled them up considerably.
