Water running freely from under engine by the belts. None in oil that i see. Hoses are coated with an oil like gunk that could be just from neglect.

I'm thinking it is just the water pump. How difficult isnit to replace on my own by a newbie who will be probably going off a how-to youtube video to replace? I can't afford a mechanic..just barely the part.

Sounds like one of those jobs where you just tear it down and take note of how it comes apart. Basic tool set from Craftsman with some permatex for the gasket.

Ok your gonna need to take pictures. Buy a Hanes magazine. Things you need to know is you need to stick the new gasket to the new water pump. Usually something like thin gasket maker not too much tho just enough to stick. It's gonna be easy if your remember exactly how things go back on. Clean all surfaces real good with a scraper file the new surface of the water pump to make sure there's no burs that'll cut your new gasket.
