recently too my truck in to have the stereo changed they removed the dash and in the process lost one of the clips for the temp knob for the ac. the next day my ac went from blowing ice cold to hot air. is it possible for the ac to go out this quickly or could this be due to faulty wiring?

thanks for the help.

If it's the white clip that holds the HVAC unit to the dash, not sure what the part number is but the yellow clips that holds the vents & radio to the dash that part number is 90467-10203 list price of .89¢ it may work.
You can go to the dealer and ask for the clip that holds the HVAC unit to the dash and get a price, shouldn't be more than a $1.

As for the cooling not blowing I'd say they screwed up some wires if it was working fine the day before. Either that or they didn't seat one of the electrical plugs in all the way. Check your fuses also. Either way I would get reimbursed for it if it requires repair for something they did.

BTW what year truck are you working on?
