How To Adjust Speedometer for Larger Tires?‎

I'm looking at putting on some larger tires on my 2011 Tacoma. I'm assuming if I do that my Odometer and Speedometer will be off. How do I adjust / recalibrate them once I do the install?

What size are you goin to? Most tacomas read 5mph faster than they are really going stock. After I put on my 265/75-16's on I'm now 2mph off actual speed according to GPS

Use this tool to figure out the % the speedo will be off. I've learned to live with mine being 7% off with 33" tires.

No need to have it recal'ed.

i went from 265/70R16 to 265/70r16 and according to my GPS i’m dead on. both speeds match perfectly.

I know a few cops, may see if i can get a radar read and see if it’s off or not.

I used my Ultragauge to calibrate my 275/85/16. All you need is a good long road trip and track your mileage. It is and has stayed very close to my own figures.
