You have to resize them to less than 1mb. So anything that is 999kb or less should work. I take the photo I want to use and email it to myself. It will give me the option to down size the photo and I choose what ever option is The largest kb that's smaller than a mb. Then save it back to my photos on my phone and upload the smaller edited photo. If your phone has an edit option to resize the format you could just do it that way. Mine doesn't have that option.
