Improper pressing in of new upper ball joint

I searched through the previous threads and found no info on this matter.

I installed a new upper ball joint in my 2002 tacoma 4 wheel drive.

while doing so i used the wrong adapter and pushed it in from the center instead of the outer ring like it was intended for. there is a small indentation on the bottom of the ball joint.

I am guessing i have destroyed the new ball joint. any comments wold be appreciated. please and thank you

Is it all put together now or are you thinking about getting new and doing it again?

Thanks for the comment or17trd. i ended up pulling it out and replacing it without the dumbassery.
