I'm confused

For some reason when I hit the brake pedal in my Tacoma, everything in the cluster lights up. Any ideas on what that would be?

Possibly a loose ground wire.

For some reason when I hit the brake pedal in my Tacoma, everything in the cluster lights up. Any ideas on what that would be?

I too had this same problem on my 2010 tacoma. It happened due to the fact I had a loose connections in my trailer wiring. I noticed it was even more evident when it rained or I had some sort of moisture in the plug for my trailer harness.

Thanks man, l'll have to check my ground connection on the harness. Either that or just pull it out completely and replace it.

Probably a bag ground or mabye a vacuum line issue causing the motor to speed up when you apply brakes

I talked to a mechanic and he told me its a common problem on aftermarket trailer wiring.
