Manual everything

Greeting guys and gals.
Proud owner of a 96 Tacoma. It's been a faithful truck and only had the clutch totally replaced in 2020. Manual everything and I love it.

End of November freaked the crap out of me when I lost a wheel/tire due to an old ball joint. Gave no warning whatsoever but luckily I wasn't traveling at high speed on the highway.

This poor truck will finally turn over 400,000 by the Summer and I'm seriously looking for a safer truck only bc I travel 100 miles once a week to visit elderly parents. I refuse to sell my baby and will continue to drive it into the ground. It will kill me to see it if someone else buys it in the same town- so dust to dust it is.

BIG issue while I'm truck shopping is, I'm a luddite and still desire the manual transmission. Doesn't bode well when the sales person rolls his eyes first thing when I say I'm looking for manual transmission and it is a deal breaker.

So what's your point? Are you just making a rant? Toyota still offers a manual in these trucks if desired.
