Max Tire Size???

What is the max tire size with no lift? And what will the impact be for gas mileage? And what tires are the best for off roading a couple of times but still use daily on the road?

265/75/16. These will be about 1” taller and your mpg will decrease some maybe 2mpg.
I like the BFG KO2 for occasional off-road and daily driving. Everyone has an opinion on tires.
