Muffler Question

Hi guys! I have a 2012 SR5 4cyl and had a question about the muffler. Several years ago I had a recall for the catalytic converter which needed replace. After the recall, my truck began running hotter and at a hole through 3 mufflers over the course of a summer. I had to switch back to the factory exhaust and haven't had problems since then.

My truck, though, has seemed to be running louder the past few weeks and I am really hoping it didn't happen again. This was basically how it started with the others. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Never heard of this before. The 4 bangers do have a "backfire" issue at times but this sounds like an overly rich fuel mixture.
