New here and to Tacomas

We haven't actually bought the truck yet. We know we need 4x4 and double cab, probably towing package. We're looking at around 07's. Does anyone have advice for what we should look for when we're buying? This will be one of the first vehicles we've purchased. We know bare basics and kbb. But what else are we looking for with a tacoma specifically?

Depends on what you really want.

Sport - scooped hood, LSD(05-09), body color side mirrors, door handles and rear bumper, 17 inch rims, larger sway bar, progressive coils, sport seats, driving lights

Offroad - locker, smaller sway bar, digressive coils, various traction options(no ATRAC 05-09 &), sport seats, driving lights

SR5 - keyless entry, temp & compass in the overhead console

Look at the frame for excessive corrosion, look at the engine mounts to see if they have sunken into the frame(05 issue) and watch those TRD packages. People add things to make it look like TRD packages so the dealer tries to sell them for more.

Welcome. I don't know how old they will go on this, but look for a certified pre owned.
