New radio

I went looking at some new radios and they said they would install this one but I would not be able to use the factory backup camera but I could use the buttons on the steering wheel. They said this one uses your phone navigation so you don’t have to get it updated every few years. I have a iPhone 700.00 total good/ bad ?

You can get an interface for your truck to retain the steering wheel controls and backup camera.

I spliced in a RCA cable from down in the driver side kick panel. Both cameras work in mirror and radio. Local car audio shop wanted to much $ to do it and said the mirror camera would no longer work. I said bs... [emoji16]

They said they could cut the wires and make it work but they said they just don’t do that for legal reason

You're lucky. I had to spice into everything when I installed my head unit.

Lookin at his pic his is 05-11 they told me the kit was only available on the 12 and up. But who knows I could have been talkin to a yahoo..

Yeah mines a 2010 and it doesn’t have the I think they said jbl system from the factory but they said that was a good thing

Yeah it makes it made it more of a pain before but that one module kit solves the issues.

Same brand makes a 2010 kit.
