So I'm thinking about upgrading my old stock stereo. '02 ext cab. I don't want to have to modify the plastics if i can avoid it. Any suggestions?

I was thinking about doing the same thing 04'Tacoma crew cab. I need to be able to play mp3 CDs and also need an Aux input for my cell phone. What kind of upgrade have you guys done? What brand really sounds good in the tacoma? Has any one upgraded their speakers also?

For a simple stereo replacement, I recommend Pioneer. Even their bottom of the line units are still top quality. Almost every model nowadays comes standard with aux input and most even do Bluetooth. Can't go wrong with a pioneer. Best sound from a basic head unit, easy to use, hi quality, looks good.

Would you also recommend changing out the stock speakers? Can you change out the CD player without disrupting the rest of the double din frame?
