Any off the shelf oil of the correct viscosity. Mobil One is popular.
I cant argue with that.
You could but you won't win.
Mobil one is good stuff, but I use royal purple oil. It's high end stuff. Yes it not cheap at all. But I like to use the very best stuff for my truck. Royal purple oil+OEM filter is the way to go IMO
Rp is the very best?
You're the very best jangles!
In my opinion it is yes. However I'm pretty sure someone will argue "not worth the money" or "it's not better, bla bla bla". I've had experience with it. And it's good stuff. That's my thoughts.
Here we go.... Another oil thread
I have a 2010 Tacoma with 95.000 miles on it. I have been thinking about switching to synthetic oil, is this alright to do? Thanks
Synthetic oil of the correct viscosity. Yes.
If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Oil is oil is oil... if you change it when you're supposed to and properly maintain your vehicle or wouldn't matter what brand of oil you run. It's whatever makes you happy.
Depends on how often you change your oil. I do mine no matter what at 4k miles, so using synthetic or regular will not make any difference. Regular oil starts to lose its viscosity around 3-4miles, synthetic never breaks down. If you want to go every 5000- 10000 miles without and oil change use synthetic.
