Popping noise from front

I have a 07' Toyota tacoma access cab
And when I stop more times then not a metal popping noise comes from the front. I recently had an alignment and they told me I needed new outer tire rods. Could that be it?!
And just recently I pulled into my driveway put in park and the truck rocked!
Any ideas?!

I would check the ball joints.

There's also some shuddering when I turn and accelerate from a dead stop maybe thinking it's my driveshaft again
