Question aftermarket lights install

So i just ordered so awesome lights for my truck. I was wondering can I just wire them in with my fog lights? Just put a bigger fuse on them? Do I have to wire them to the fuse box? If I don't will it drain the battery?

I would use the stock wiring to trigger them but I would draw power directly from the battery to run them.

They will drain your battery if you leave them on.

So your saying not to tap in the fog lights?

I'm sure people have done it as long as the wattage is the same or lower than the stock lights but I personally would not unless I was going with a low draw light like LEDs.

Would a bigger fuse help

Basic approach:
-Current draw in amps of added load
-size the wire to handle the load
-size the fuse to protect the wire

^^^What he said. A bigger fuse won't protect the wiring which is just asking for a fire. Sounds like you should have someone do it.

I have a good feeling I will. I can wire up a house, I can't wire my truck lol
