radio/nav unit disabled while driving???

Another question that I can't seem to find a previous thread on but I'm sure has been discussed previously.....

The lack of being able to see contacts for answering/dialing during driving. So much for hands free if I have to look at or use the phone while driving. :sad:

Anyone come up with a way of disabling this nuisance?

Maybe everyone bought the high end JBL system and this isn't a problem. but still there must be others wanting to use the contact list while driving vs. having to look at the phone? At least your head and eyes are up in the vicinity of the windshield rather than your lap.
