Read diff

I finally called Toyota and opened a claim for the rear diff whine. This was on the 9th. Should I have heard from them by now?
Two days after calling I went in for my 20k miles service. They have looked at the rear diff at my 10k service.
Anyway they told me to wait to hear back on the claim.
Anyone ever filed a claim?
What was your experience?

Mine is noisy too,around 45-60 on deceleration. TSB was done with cab mounts and rear spring pack. Their favorite saying "its normal"

So did the TSB work make any difference?
I had a 2007 that did not make this noise. I did not but a 1950 IH log truck.

Bonfire,the TSB did make the whine less pronounced. Still there but quieter only on deceleration.

Go get 5.29’s at nitro gear and axle, Toyota should have never gave us 3.90’s

How big are the rear axles?

My stock Rubicon has Dana 44's and I've read you shouldn't put bigger than 35" tires on the stock axles. I saw a Jeep at Busch Gardens, with 40's on it. The owner said he had beefed up 44 axles and actually crawls with it. I've been thinking I have to upgrade to 60 axles before I can get 40" tires. As for my new Tacoma, I'm afraid of voiding the dealer's lifetime warranty.
