Next two digits: 01 = 3:42

02 = 3:58

03 = 4:10

04 = 4:56

05 = 3:15

Last digit:

A = 2 Pinion, Open

B = 4 Pinion, Open

C = 2 Pinion OEM Limited Slip

It's an automatic. Looks like I have a 3:42.

This makes a difference in performance/gas mileage if one go's to larger tires. I was hoping it was going to be a 4:10/4:11.

Larger tires always affects performance and mileage no matter what gears you have. Larger tires means a larger mass to move.

185/65R15 = 24.5x7.3R15 - 32x10.5R15 If I can figure out if nothing will hit up or sideways. Right now I just don't know.

Changed my mind. I think I will use the size that were on my 1999 Tacoma. I really liked them sense most of my driving is on the road/back roads with just moderate off road, used to get to hunting and fishing sites. It had a great "Stance" and really looked COOL to me.
They were 31X11.5R15 or an equivalent for 16" rims now on the new truck (2001).

I don't know if the stock rims will be OK for the 2001 Tacoma or not, bay be someone could jump in here and tell me?

I hate the metric system !!
