Hello 90 Taco,

I am not an expert when it comes to re-gearing, but here is my 2 cents worth. I have a stock 1999 3.4 liter V6 with the stock 31 inch diameter size tires. Most of the stock gears that came with the first generation Tacomas were either 4.10 or 4.11. This is a great gear set up for all around use. Yet at the same time, it is not the best for hard core off roaders. This gear ratio is a little too fast for hard core enthusiasts. I would probably be looking at something in 5.5 gear ratio or greater if you are planning on running 35 inch diameter tires.

Good Luck.
Paul
