I have a 2002 basic Tacoma (4 cylinder - no power windows, no extended cab) that I bought used in 2004. It has a port-of-entry non-Toyota brand cruise control installed. The cruise recently stopped working. My mechanic looked at it and the control module is apparently shot. He can not get parts as the manufacturer (Rosten??) is out of business and no parts seem to be available. Called Toyota and got basically the same story. My question is - has anyone else experienced this and what can I do? Are used parts available and where would I find them? I love the truck and don't want to trade it in though lack of cruise is a bit annoying.
