Traction control actually off!!

I for the first year of owning my tacoma I never knew that if you held in the traction control button for apx 5 seconds it would really shut it off. 4x4 is completely different now!


Here's how to do it:

Come to a stop with the traction control on.

Then press and hold the traction control button in for apx 5 seconds. ( as soon as you first press it two lights will come on. Auto LSD and a truck with OFF under it)

After around 5 seconds the auto LSD light will go out and the TRAC OFF light will come on.

Works in 2wd or 4HI

Hope this helps people who were unaware of it like I was.

So what would you use this for? And are you talking about the skidding car button? The owners manual doesn't say much about what that would be used for.

I turn mine off in the snowy icey weather, that way it let's me spin the tires and won't bog down and loose all power
