i want to get a trailer hitch installed on my 2008 Taco.. the owners manual states that there is a wiring harness located on the under body..but i don't see one...can anyone help 2.7l auto SR5 '08

It does not have one if you did not have the tow package. I dont think the 2.7 comes with the tow package. . It is something that you can do yourself. Just make sure you get the harness that plugs into the tail lights. Don't cut the wires. I like the curt hitch that I have now. On my third tacoma and I put new hitches on all of them.
I bought this Reese from Advanced Auto for $119 plus tax. Got a 15% discount from online price of $149. Had it delivered there and then just picked up. Wasn't to hard to install by myself. Bolted right it. Rated 5000 lbs.

I probably won't tow anything but will use as a recovery point with this Rugged Ridge Receiver Hitch D Ring I bought from Cabala's for $35. Rated 9500 lbs.

I also bought another Straight Clevis rated 12000 lbs for $9 at Nuts & Bolts, as my back up one it's made by Double HH. Farm equipment. Fit's perfect into the receiver hitch from Cabala.
My truck already had trailer wiring installed from previous owner who put a ball on the bumper :wallbash:
