Transmission or clutch noise

Hey, I have a 99 3.4 5speed Tacoma. I get a chirping noise whenever the clutch is in the released position and goes away when the clutch is pressed in. The noise is there when I am in gear and driving too. I’ve been told it could be a bearing in the clutch or the input shaft bearing in the transmission. Any thoughts?

My 18 6 speed did something similar — noise ended up being part of the clutch pedal assembly. One of the little pieces needed to be greased — if this is what you have it’s a quick DIY with lithium grease.
