Will KO2's 33"s fit on 2017 4x4 sr5?

Discussion in '2016 + Toyota Tacoma' started by Christian Green, Sep 13, 2017.

  1. Pretty damn new to all of this but I was wondering if there's anyway to install the 285/75/16 KO2's on a 2017 sr5 without the tires rubbing. What's the minimum lift I would need? Is it even possible?

You can if you cut but you would need around 3 inches of lift and still minimal cutting on OEM wheels.

I have a 3" lift with -6 offset wheels and my 285/75/16 fit great.
2.5-3" for height. The stock wheels won't work so you'll need new wheels with a 0 to -6 offset. Or wheels spacers but I wouldn't put spaces on. You'll also have to take the front mud flaps off.
Bilstein 5100's and an AAL is a good way to get there for cheaper. Otherwise a kit from old man emu and if your wanting to spend money I'd go with the OME BP-51 or a King OEM performance kit

Easier to fit on a 3rd gen than a 2nd gen but still needs work.

Awesome thanks for the info guys.

Would I still have to do any type of cutting or trimming with appropriate offset wheels?

No. 2.5-3" lift and the right offset you'll be good.

Welcome! And as everyone has stated 2.5-3inch should be good. Depending on rims

Thanks. I think I'm going to do the spacers at the moment until I can save up for some wheels.

A good set of spacers are going to cost you a couple hundred dollars and a set of wheels will cost a few hundred more than that. I wouldn't waste your money on wheel spacers. Save it and buy the wheels you want.

Alright so I changed my mind a bit. I bought this lift and I'm planning on doing the 265/75/16 KO2's. They say they only go up to 2" lift. Would the 285's fit with some slight shaving in case I change my mind after? IMG_0543.jpg IMG_0542.jpg

I'm also planning on getting some 0 offset wheels. Just wondering if the option would be available later on.
