Going to be purchasing a new 2018 very soon. The main thing I want to add is a winch. The stock bumper isn't really winch friendly so I'm looking at after market options.
So far the Warn® - Ascent Full Width Black Front Winch HD Bumper (Item # 493386408) looks like a winner. Can't post links yet or I would have just posted a link the the website.
Because of the sensors in the Toyota emblem on the front any bumper that covers that is a no go.
This disclamer has me worried though.
"This product may interfere with driver assist systems such as adaptive cruise control and parking assist systems that have sensors or cameras installed in the bumpers or front grill area. If your vehicle is equipped with any of these systems or features, consult your vehicle owner's manual before installing this product."
I don't recall seeing any sensors in the actual bumper. Does anyone see why this setup would cause problems with those systems? Has anyone installed this on their truck? Anyone have any other suggestions for a winch ready bumper?
I'll finish this thread off with an installation of the final decision.
