Help! 2015 Double Cab V6 TRD Manual, 220K miles with Loud Engine Noise

Turns out this was the fan clutch going haywire -- had to take it to somewhere other than the dealer to get a competent read and a rather simple fix. If the throwout bearing is bad, I presume the issue would be problems shifting or maybe worse, like destroying the pressure plate and clutch, if...

Help! 2015 Double Cab V6 TRD Manual, 220K miles with Loud Engine Noise

That tends to be my primary suspect. Oddly, there is no pilot bearing on this clutch/transmission design. Quite a few threads out there about that.

Help! 2015 Double Cab V6 TRD Manual, 220K miles with Loud Engine Noise

I need some thought power or someone with personal experience. A short while back I was driving home from somewhere when I had an onset of a whistling sound in the last few miles home. It was quite loud and I could not figure it out. A while after getting home, the wife and I went out for a...

    Rear bumper

I like the looks of All Pro Off-Road's bumper with the swing outs.

    Interior mods

Map lights on with dome light. Simple mod, and when combined with swapping out the factory bulbs with LEDs, makes for great lighting at night.

    2015 fog lights

I've got my fog lights from my 2015 sitting in my garage. They were never used as I put my ARB bumper on day one, and the factory fogs are not compatible. If you want them cheap, let me know. I have no need for them

    Hello from OKC

And I have quickly found that Toyota's paint really stripes well with Locust-lined trails.

    What makes your truck unique?

I am hoping to avoid some of the trail carnage I put my last vehicle (and my wallet) through (transfer case, diff covers, control arm, etc.) by having built in spotting capability.

    What makes your truck unique?

Probably less than you think. About $300 to $350 ballpark, since I already had the auxiliary fuse/relay box under the hood. Biggest cost is cameras, and i kept that cost low in case things went south on the trail. I spent some prep time here and there, and one solid day installing. Before I...

    What makes your truck unique?

I posted all that on another forum, but here's a dump: Here's the electrical schematic, give or take... I added an auxiliary fuse/relay box under the hood for this and other mods. There are two switches added to the dash, above the center console. One switch is the overall on/off which trips...

    What makes your truck unique?

I have a camera with a dozen or so IR LEDs on the front, so I can see at night. Same cameras under carriage give me the ability to see obstructions at night as well. The challenge is finding cameras that are robust enough that handle immersion and normal trail "stuff". I am about to order a...
