Thanks for the response. I wish it were a miscommunication but this is twice they have said this to me. If I were doing my own change I would have done the same at about 7500-8000 which is what I had done previously with my Tundras. It didn't seem right but thought I should check.

Thanks. Would it be better to stay with Dino oil or go to synthetic? Not a huge difference in price.

My question to the forum: Dealership told me that if I switch to synthetic, on my 2014 Tacoma, that I have to change it every 5k miles because that is the way the engine is set up. Is that true?

Some time over the next 10mos I will trade tundra for tacoma. Gas mileage. I have a 16ft landscape trlr to tow. Which transmission is better to tow with? What about winter driving?
